Kids Korner by Lindsey and Lauren
Welcome to “Kids Korner- from a kids point of view” and my first blog ever! I am Lindsey Scott and I have been lucky to travel to many places with my family and friends. My mom and I talked about how fun it would be to share my “Point of View” from a kids side because we are so picky about many things like the food and activities available. So here we go...we just returned from Mexico so my first resort to blog on is Dreams Playa Mujeres Golf and Spa Resort!
This beautiful location in Cancun has many ups and downs to many different things. Dreams is a big resort that has stunning scenery throughout the property. Every path is aligned with several types of flowers that make the resort really pop out. The pools on the property were all different, big and the two slides did not disappoint. Unfortunately, the pools were a little too warm to swim in, but the swim up bars were fun and had great service. The beach here was wonderful with almost no seaweed and it was a pretty white and soft sand beach. Water sports and other things like the water tramp and water pyramid were fun to play on. If the family wanted to swim with the Dolphins, there was the Dolphin arena right off of their beach and you can see them swim from the shore.
The food was one of the huge downsides to the resort and we like our food. Some of the restaurants had too many deep fried things and just in general, it didn’t live up to the standards of a Dreams property. The best place was the Brazilian Steakhouse, Gaucho and we loved it! The Dolce ice cream parlor did not disappoint and my sister and I were in there ALL the time! They also had a good Teen Club with movies outside, big chess set (which I beat my mom many times), and many games like air hockey, pool and Xbox section.
Privileges were amazing when it came to the Preferred Club, which is the VIP section. Things like a Preferred beach or cabanas were reserved for only club members and made the resort even better. We had our own lounge to check in and get snacks and drinks whenever we wanted. The best part was 24 hour Room Service! The Dreams Playa Mujeres is a wonderful place to go for a family vacation because kids and adults can be busy all day. We would definitely go back and bring our friends! EXUMA, BAHAMAS: GOLF BY THE SEA
We took a flight in the morning from Nassau to the beautiful island of Exuma to view the property known as Sandals Emerald Bay! On arrival to the island, no customs needed, we were recognized by name and escorted to the property via private Suburban transfers.
On arrival to the property, we were again greeted by the staff and given a tour around the property. We proceeded to play golf on their own private Greg Norman Championship Golf Course and the back nine holes were AMAZING!! This was just one of the holes with a background to remember! The staff went above and beyond at this property while personally pampering their clients with all sorts of snacks and drinks at the pool. After an action packed day, we were transferred back to the airport for our return flight back to Nassau.
